Only Green has developed “Da Vinci’s Distresses Chalk Paint Finish” to answer the need for a New Zealand made chalk paint . Chalk finish is a paint which with many uses from acting like limewash to making furniture look like old painted furniture, and that had a good range of character colours . This paint is very easy to work with and allows people to be creative as one doesn’t get involved with the technicalities of preparation and it also allows you to change your mind without hassle.

How to apply chalk paint finish?
Turn the paint pot upside down and leave it for
a couple of minutes. Open the pot and stir or shake well before use. Surface must
be dry and clean. Use the paint as it is or add some water to create a more washed
effect. If you want the paint to become thicker, leave the lid off for a couple of
hours.Colours will dry darker when it has dried. This is absolutely normal. Apply
with a brush, roller or airless. For depth of colour apply at least two thin coats
(some colours might need more coats).Chalk Finish is great for decorative painting
and to create an aged look.
It is easy to sand between coats to create the shabby chic look. Make the paint water repellent by finishing with Only Green eco-wax or Only Green Glaze & medium.
